A standard catalogue model: the dimensions, control package and finish are fixed, which is what keeps the price and the lead time predictable. Size, colour and interface language can be adapted without a new design cycle.

01 / Overview

Biodiversity is the foundation for maintaining ecological balance. Different species are interdependent, forming complex food chains and ecological networks. Species diversity can maintain the stability and balance of ecosystems, ensuring the smooth progress of various ecological processes. If the number of species in a certain link decreases or becomes extinct, it will lead to imbalances in other links in the food chain, ultimately affecting the stability of the entire ecosystem. Biodiversity plays an important role in maintaining ecological balance, regulating climate and protecting the environment, as well as protecting endangered species and scientific research. Protecting biodiversity is a shared responsibility and obligation of the entire society.

02 / How visitors use it

The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.

03 / The science behind it

Approximately 1.2 million species have been identified and described on this planet, and biologists estimate that there are still 7.5 million species to be identified. Therefore, when the food chain is disrupted, it may lead to the extinction or severe reduction of certain species, resulting in the loss of biodiversity and disrupting the overall ecological balance. Biodiversity includes three levels: ecosystem diversity, species diversity, and genetic diversity. The value of biodiversity includes ecological value, economic value, cultural value, scientific research value, and other aspects. In order to maintain biodiversity on Earth, a series of protective measures need to be taken, including habitat protection, control and prevention of invasive species, protection of threatened species, establishment of protected areas, etc. 4. Mangrove ecosystem refers to a complete ecosystem including mangrove forest land, mudflat outside the forest, tidal creek system, and shallow water area. It is the four marine natural ecosystems with the highest productivity on the earth.

04 / Built for a public floor

Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.

Attach a theme outline, a floor plan, or nothing at all — a photo of the space is enough to start. Quotations are issued against a real exhibit list, not per-square-metre guesses.
