01 / Overview

Individualized drug genetic testing is a method of optimizing drug treatment by analyzing the patient's genetic information. The process mainly includes: firstly, collecting samples (such as blood, tissue, etc.) from the patient's body and extracting DNA; Then, specific gene loci related to drug metabolism, sensitivity, and adverse reactions are detected; Finally, the patient's genetic information is compared with the drug related genetic features to determine their different sensitivities and tolerances to the drug based on the genetic features, in order to develop an accurate drug treatment plan for the patient. This process helps to improve drug efficacy, reduce toxic side effects, and achieve personalized and precise medication.

02 / How visitors use it

The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.

03 / The science behind it

The full name of drug genetic testing is drug metabolism enzyme and drug target gene testing. It is a method of testing DNA through blood, body fluids, tissues or cells, analyzing the types of genes and gene defects it contains, and whether its expression function is normal. Predict the effects of drug metabolizing enzymes and targets on drug efficacy and toxicity in patients. Through genetic testing, reasonable treatment drugs can be selected to avoid adverse reactions and achieve personalized treatment with "one person, one drug, one dosage", providing a basis for precise treatment plans for patients.

04 / Built for a public floor

Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.
