A standard catalogue model: the dimensions, control package and finish are fixed, which is what keeps the price and the lead time predictable. Size, colour and interface language can be adapted without a new design cycle.
Natural selection, survival of the fittest. The biological groups that have undergone survival tests and thrived have developed unique survival skills through evolution. For example, flying kites and jumping fish, eating silkworms and swallowing whales, pandas abandoning carnivorous bamboo, brown bears guarding their plants waiting for fish, sea otters lying on their backs smashing shells, kangaroos carrying bags to raise children, anteaters with long tongues eating ants, peacocks opening their screens to express their love... These are all unique abilities. These skills are determined by genes and passed down from generation to generation through genetic inheritance.
The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.
These unique survival abilities are the result of natural selection and genetic inheritance. Natural selection enables the preservation of adaptive features within species, while genetic inheritance ensures that these features are passed down from generation to generation, ultimately forming specialized behaviors and morphological structures that help them survive in competition.
Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.
