01 / Overview

This exhibit uses mechanical interaction to allow visitors to explore and understand the unique properties of the Gunburg body. The exhibit consists of a modeling platform, a pressing device, and a model of the Gunburg body, showcasing the "tumbler" in nature - the Gunburg body. This peculiar shaped object has a consistent density and can maintain balance at any tilt angle. The interactive logic is that visitors can intuitively feel the wonderful balance characteristics brought by the shape of the Gunburg body by pressing the platform. one Before arriving at the exhibit, locate the pressing device on the styling platform and prepare to operate it in a safe area Press the table with your hand and observe the changes in the state of the Gunburg body model Experience the unique property of maintaining balance in different degrees of pressure and tilt angles of the Gunburg body • The Gunburg body was only introduced in 2006, and there are very few related exhibits in major science and technology exhibit hall. The Gunburg body that appeared at the Shanghai World Expo has been well received, and showcasing its self balancing characteristics as an exhibit in science and technology museums is innovative.

04 / Public-floor build

Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.
