01 / Overview

A set of model display cabinets will be set up on the wall to showcase both normal and spoiled food models. By observing the changes in the appearance of food before and after spoilage, one can learn to understand the quality of food. Install display cabinets and touch screens in front of the display cabinets. The contents of the display cabinets are photos of different spoiled foods, and visitors can eliminate the same pictures in a continuous viewing format through the touch screen. On the right side, there is an electron microscope and a slicing disc for spoiled food. By rotating the disc and adjusting the height of the microscope lens, the shape of the bacteria causing food spoilage can be viewed on the monitor. Understanding this exhibit can cultivate children's awareness of daily food safety.

02 / How visitors use it

The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.

03 / Built for a public floor

Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.
