Home/Shop & pricing

Two ways to buy.
One price list.

Some orders should be finished in five minutes at a published price. Others should never be bought that way — the moment a dimension, a voltage, a language or a floor plan changes, the number on a web page stops being true. This page draws the line between the two, so a week is not spent on the wrong route.

01 / The rule

If it is a catalogue model, unchanged, buy it online.
If anything is changed, it goes to the factory.

That is the whole rule. The rest of this page is the working-out: what counts as a change, what each route includes, and why the two prices are not competing offers.

Nothing published
can answer this.

Any dimensional changeCeiling height, door width, a wall to fit against, a floor plan that is not a rectangle.
Themed or branded contentThe exhibit has to carry a storyline, a client's graphics, or a second language as standard.
A whole hall or floorTwenty units or more, mixed categories, one packing plan, one delivery schedule, one installation visit.
Export, install, commissioningPacking lists, certificates of origin, engineers on site, staff handover.
OEM to your drawingsContract manufacturing to a drawing, a sample, or a unit you already own.
Interface with other tradesPower, structure, rigging — and a main contractor who needs drawings by Friday.
02 / Worked examples

Ten situations.
One right route each.

Read down the left column until you find your order. If the route still is not obvious, the test is simple: does the exhibit differ in any way from the published specification? If not, the web price is the correct price.

A quotation is not a bigger version of the store. It is a different document: it prices the changes, the packing and the site work, and it is signed by the people who will build the unit.

03 / How the two prices relate

The published price is the floor,
not a promotional price.

A web price is the price of one standard unit, built to the specification on its page, with standard packing. A factory quotation starts from that same number and moves it along four lines: the changes you asked for, the packing and freight terms, the installation, and a quantity discount once the order is large enough to be planned into production.

One standard unitThe published price. There is no negotiation on a single catalogue model, in either direction.
Twenty units or moreUsually below the published price — quoted per order, because it depends on mix and schedule.
A unit with changesPublished price as the starting point, then re-engineered and re-quoted line by line.
Packing, freight, installationSeparate lines. You see what the exhibit costs and what moving it costs.

We do not publish a discount table, because the discount depends on the mix, the schedule and the packing. It appears as one line in the quotation, so you can see what it is worth before you sign.

ONE FACTORY

PopSciCat is our own store, not a reseller or a marketplace listing. Every unit on it comes off the same floor in Jiading as a factory-quoted one — same drawings, same test cycle, same spare-part sheet.

04 / The questions we get

Four things buyers ask
before choosing a route.

If your question is not here, it belongs in an email — and we answer those within one working day.

Is the online store a cheaper, separate product line?
No. Same factory, same specification, same test cycle. The store exists because publishing a price costs us nothing and saves you a sales call. If a unit is listed there, it is a unit we build — and the price on the page is the price of that unit, not a stripped-down version of it.
Is a quotation always cheaper than the store?
Not for one unit. For one standard unit, the quotation and the published price are the same number. A quotation becomes cheaper when the volume and the schedule let us plan the order into production — and occasionally when a change you asked for happens to be simpler than the standard part.
Can I mix — half catalogue, half custom?
Yes, and it is the most common shape of a project. Catalogue units are priced at the published price, custom units are quoted separately against their drawings, and both go onto one delivery schedule with one installation visit. Nothing is lost by starting in the store and continuing in a quotation.
Where do spare parts and service fit?
With the factory, not the store. Every unit ships with a spare-part sheet and documented part numbers, and a technician can replace wear parts without returning the exhibit. Kits are quoted against the units you actually run, which is information the store does not have.
05 / Both doors are open

Take the route that matches your list. If you are not sure which half of it belongs online, send us the list — telling you is free, and it is usually one line of reply.

Attach a theme outline, a floor plan, or nothing at all — a photo of the space is enough to start. Quotations are issued against a real exhibit list, not per-square-metre guesses.
