01 / Overview

The phenomenon of giant leaves is one of the wonders of rainforests. Most giant leaved plants grow in tropical regions and prefer light and heat. A larger leaf area is beneficial for them to absorb sunlight and carry out photosynthesis. In addition, under hot weather conditions, plants need to absorb water from the soil through transpiration while cooling themselves. Large leaves are the "weapon" for these tropical plants to efficiently absorb nutrients and water, and smoothly survive the scorching heat. A small insect called "Anchor Apo Firefly Leaf Armor" uses taro leaves as a delicious dish and adopts a flexible and maneuverable tactic - drawing circles - when gnawing on them. They "draw" circles with a diameter of about 3 centimeters on the leaves of sea taro to cut off most of the veins that transmit toxins, and then eat the leaves inside the circles to their heart's content. What's even more surprising is that the circles drawn by the Anchor Apo Firefly Leaf Armor without the use of any tools are surprisingly standard. The relationship between the Anchor Apo Firefly Leaf Armor and the Sea Taro can be described as "mutually beneficial", and this relationship is formed through the growth of.

02 / How visitors use it

The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.

03 / Built for a public floor

Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.
