Multiple pollution threats

The exhibit introduces the serious threat to marine ecology caused by industrial emissions, heat emissions, nuclear emissions and other pollution caused by human activities through visual materials. In recent years, the problem of damage to marine ecosystems caused by pollution has become increasingly prominent. The pollution and ecological damage caused by human urbanization and industrialization processes cannot be ignored, and effective and safe governance of global marine ecology is urgently needed. On August 24, 2023, the Japanese government launched the discharge of contaminated water from the Fukushima nuclear disaster into the sea, which has aroused the attention and concerns of countries around the world about global marine ecological security, highlighting the enormous challenges and difficulties in global marine ecological security governance.

The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.
