01 / Overview

Through gesture interaction in the sensing area, demonstrate the pollination process and success rate differences between maize self pollination and cross pollination, and educate visitors on the principles and advantages of hybrid maize. Step into the optimal interactive area and follow the on-screen prompts to operate. The earliest crop to undergo southern breeding was corn. Since the comprehensive promotion of maize monoculture in China, excellent varieties have been updated six times, and each update of varieties cannot be separated from the contribution of southern propagation. Hybrid corn: The more DNA sequence differences between two corn varieties, the stronger the hybrid advantage, and there is also genetic complementarity between the two, which is also the reason why hybrid offspring are more outstanding.

02 / How visitors use it

The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.

03 / Built for a public floor

Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.
