01 / Overview

The process of temperature change on Earth is a complex and lengthy one, influenced by various factors including solar radiation, atmospheric composition, geological activity, and life activities. This process of change can be summarized into four main stages: the fireball era, the snowball era, the ice and interglacial periods, and the current state of the Earth we are in. The Milankovic cycle, proposed by Serbian scientist Milutin Milankovic, describes the periodic changes in Earth's orbital parameters (eccentricity, axial tilt, precession) ranging from 100000 to 26000 years. These changes affect the total amount and distribution of solar radiation received by the Earth, driving long-term climate fluctuations, particularly the alternation between ice ages and warm periods. This theory has been validated by geological data, coral reef research, and climate models, becoming an important tool for understanding past climate change on Earth, although other factors such as atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration and ice sheet movement still need to be considered.

02 / How visitors use it

The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.

03 / The science behind it

The 4.6 billion year Earth temperature change process, fireballs snowballs ice ages global warming human emergence and impact (temperature rise), industrialization, use of fossil fuels, and their impact on Earth's temperature. Fireball era: average temperature of 4000 ℃. Snowball Era: Average temperature -46 ℃. Glacial and interglacial periods: We refer to geological periods with cold climates as "glacial periods", while periods with relatively warm climates between two glacial periods are called "interglacial periods". The current Earth has an average temperature of 16 ℃. Milankovitch cycle: During the process of the Earth's rotation around its own axis and its orbit around the Sun, the periodic changes in the direction and quantity of solar radiation reaching the Earth in these directions of motion affect the temperature fluctuations and ice age formation of the Earth.

04 / Built for a public floor

Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.

Attach a theme outline, a floor plan, or nothing at all — a photo of the space is enough to start. Quotations are issued against a real exhibit list, not per-square-metre guesses.
