01 / Overview

The combination of real-life trees and light and shadow interpretation showcases the typical wonders of Hainan's tropical rainforest - the strangulation of plants that kill their hosts and replace them, the growth of flowers on old stems that compete for light and heat, vine climbing, aerial gardens, and bamboo roots, highlighting the survival wisdom of rainforest plants. Press the button and follow the spotlight to learn about the wonders of the rainforest. Plant strangulation: The common strangulation plants in tropical rainforests are banyan trees. Their seeds initially attach to the stems of the trees, producing long aerial roots that hang down to the ground along the host tree trunk. After being inserted into the soil, they continuously compete for nutrients and water in the surrounding soil of the host plant. Flowers grow on old stems: Clusters of flowers and clusters of fruits bloom or bear on the large branches and thick trunks of trees, and some even grow at the base of the trunk. This is one of the special phenomena in tropical rainforests, known as' flowering on old stems'. From an evolutionary perspective, the location where flowers grow on plant bodies is the most attractive and convenient for animals to pollinate them. 02 / How visitors use it

The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.

03 / Built for a public floor

Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.
