A standard catalogue model: the dimensions, control package and finish are fixed, which is what keeps the price and the lead time predictable. Size, colour and interface language can be adapted without a new design cycle.
The BD055 telegraph machine is China's first independently developed telegraph typewriter, developed by Shanghai Huadong Postal Equipment Factory in 1956. It is composed of over 1300 components, with high precision and reliability, comparable to the German T51 type telegraph machine at that time. The BD055 telegraph machine is widely used in domestic telegraph communication and has made important contributions to the development of China's communication industry.
The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.
Teletype machine is a telegraph communication user equipment that directly sends and automatically records messages by typing. It usually consists of a keyboard, a transmitter and receiver, and a printing mechanism. When sending a message, pressing a certain character key will automatically send the code signal of that character to the channel; When receiving a message, it can automatically receive the code signal from the channel and print out the corresponding characters. A telegraph machine equipped with a re drilling device and an automatic transmitter, capable of recording, storing, and sending telegrams using paper tape. Telemachines are easy to operate and have simple reporting procedures, thus they have been widely used.
Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.
