Gene editing refers to the process of modifying specific targets in an organism's genome through gene editing techniques. It can accurately achieve gene insertion, elimination, or replacement, thereby changing the genetic information and phenotypic characteristics of organisms. A key tool of gene editing technology is the CRISPR-Cas9 system, which mainly consists of two parts: guide RNA and Cas9 enzyme. Guided by RNA, Cas9 enzyme precisely finds the gene position that needs to be edited, while Cas9 acts like a pair of scissors, cutting the DNA double strand at the designated location, producing a double strand break. The cell will try to repair the break. Using this mechanism, insert a DNA template containing the modification target, and the cell will use this template to repair the break, so that gene editing can be accurately completed. This revolutionary technology allows scientists to modify DNA with unprecedented precision and efficiency.
The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.
Gene editing technology precisely modifies specific target genes in the genome of an organism, achieving gene insertion, elimination, or replacement, thereby altering the genetic information and phenotypic characteristics of the organism. The core tool CRISPR-Cas9 system consists of guide RNA (gRNA) and Cas9 enzyme. GRNA guides Cas9 enzyme to accurately locate the target gene. Cas9 enzyme acts like a pair of scissors, cutting DNA double strands and producing double strand breaks. When cells attempt to repair fractures, scientists use this mechanism to insert DNA templates containing modified targets, which the cells use to complete the repair and achieve precise gene editing. This technology enables scientists to modify DNA with unprecedented precision and efficiency.
Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.
