Emotional contagion

Emotional contagion refers to the activation of an individual's mirror neurons by observing the emotional expressions of others, resulting in similar emotional experiences, such as seeing others cry and feeling sadness oneself. This not only enhances social interaction and emotional resonance, but also has a positive impact in areas such as psychological counseling, teamwork, and education.

The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.

Mirror neurons are a special type of neuron that are activated when an individual performs an action and when they observe others performing the same action. In emotional contagion, mirror neurons may be activated when observing the emotional expressions of others, triggering similar emotional experiences within themselves. For example, when we see others crying in sadness, the activation of mirror neurons may also make us feel sad.
