01 / Overview

In the magnificent epic of life evolution, the long evolutionary trajectory of species lineages is partially mapped in the animal sequences displayed on the exhibit stand. Looking back at the long river of history, the law of natural selection once dominated the rise and fall of species; At present, with the help of cloning technology - a technology that reproduces biological individuals through genetic information replication - humans have made gene mirror bodies shine with a unique brilliance in the life sequence; Looking ahead to the future, as genetic science breaks through more natural barriers, the diverse life forms created by artificial intervention will inevitably have more intersections with natural evolutionary trajectories. How will this paradigm revolution in life form reshape the ecological landscape? Time will eventually reveal the answer.

02 / How visitors use it

The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.

03 / The science behind it

Cloning refers to the process of artificially replicating the genetic information of an organism to produce offspring with identical genes to the original organism. From the breakthrough in cloning species in the mid-20th century to the emergence of somatic cell cloned sheep Dolly in 1997, cloned animals have become increasingly diverse. With the development of genetic science, more diverse artificial life forms may be created in the future.

04 / Built for a public floor

Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.
