A standard catalogue model: the dimensions, control package and finish are fixed, which is what keeps the price and the lead time predictable. Size, colour and interface language can be adapted without a new design cycle.

Color vision, which is the ability to distinguish between different frequencies of light waves, is mainly the function of retinal cone cells. Lack of corresponding cone cells can lead to different types of color blindness, and those with poor ability to distinguish colors are called color weakness. Research has found that color blindness and color weakness are mostly congenital and related to genes on the X chromosome.
The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.
Color vision is the ability of the human visual system to perceive light waves of different frequencies, mainly achieved by cone cells in the retina. Cone cells are divided into three types, which are sensitive to red, green, and blue light respectively. They work together to enable us to perceive rich colors. However, when the structure or function of cone cells is abnormal, it can lead to color vision disorders such as color blindness and color weakness. Color blindness refers to the complete inability to perceive a certain color, while color weakness refers to a weaker ability to distinguish colors. Research has shown that color blindness and color weakness are mostly caused by congenital genetic factors and are closely related to genes on the X chromosome. Due to the fact that males have only one X chromosome, while females have two X chromosomes, males are more likely to exhibit symptoms of color blindness or color weakness. This genetic pattern also explains why the incidence rate of color blindness is much higher in men than in women.
Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.
