A standard catalogue model: the dimensions, control package and finish are fixed, which is what keeps the price and the lead time predictable. Size, colour and interface language can be adapted without a new design cycle.

This exhibit aims to establish a personal growth data archive by regularly measuring height and weight data of different age groups, calculating body mass index (BMI). Height and weight are two key parameters for calculating body mass index (BMI). In children and adolescents, changes in BMI are closely related to body fat content and are used to assess an individual's health status and development trends.
The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.
Standard weight is one of the important indicators that reflect and measure a person's health status. Being overweight or underweight is not conducive to health and does not give people a sense of fitness. A large amount of statistical data on different body types indicate that the ideal and simple indicator reflecting normal weight can be represented by the relationship between height and weight. The number obtained by dividing the weight in kilograms by the square of the height in meters is a commonly used measure of human body weight internationally.
Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.
