01 / Overview

The ear is one of the sensory organs in the human body, mainly responsible for auditory function, divided into three main parts: the outer ear, middle ear, and inner ear. Sound is collected through the auricle and transmitted through the external auditory canal to the eardrum. The vibrations of the eardrum are transmitted through the ossicles to the cochlea in the inner ear, which converts the vibrations into electrical signals and transmits them to the brain for analysis, allowing us to perceive different sounds.

02 / How visitors use it

The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.

03 / The science behind it

1. The generation and propagation of sound is caused by the vibration of objects. All objects that are making sound are vibrating, and when the vibration stops, the sound also stops. We identify the sound source of the object that is making a sound. The propagation of sound requires a medium. Gases, liquids, and solids are all media for transmitting sound, and vacuum cannot transmit sound. Sound propagates in the form of sound waves in a medium. Taking drumming as an example: the vibration of the drum surface drives the vibration of the surrounding air, forming alternating waves of density that propagate to distant places. Therefore, sound propagates outward in the form of waves, which we call sound waves. two The sound transmission path of the human ear is the pathway through which sound propagates from the outside to the inside of the human ear. The sound source is the auricle, the external auditory canal, the eardrum, the ossicles, the cochlea, the auditory nerve, and the brain.

04 / Built for a public floor

Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.

Attach a theme outline, a floor plan, or nothing at all — a photo of the space is enough to start. Quotations are issued against a real exhibit list, not per-square-metre guesses.
