01 / Overview

Empathy refers to the ability to understand and feel the emotional experiences of others, that is, to put oneself in their shoes. It is not just sympathy, but also a deep understanding of the inner world of others. Empathy helps to promote understanding and connection between people, facilitate effective communication and cooperation, and establish trust and intimate relationships; It helps to resolve conflicts, stimulate the spirit of mutual assistance, promote social harmony, and is the key to building positive interpersonal relationships.

02 / How visitors use it

The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.

03 / The science behind it

The basic meaning of empathy is that in order for a person to truly understand others, they must learn to put themselves in their shoes and empathize with others, which is a common practice in daily life. It is also translated as "empathizing with others," "emotional empathy," "empathy," and "empathy. It is crucial for establishing good interpersonal relationships, improving communication efficiency, and promoting social harmony. Empathy can drive us to take action to help others, which can be providing material assistance or emotional support. This kind of assistance is based on a deep understanding of the emotional state of others, making it more effective and meaningful.

04 / Built for a public floor

Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.
