A standard catalogue model: the dimensions, control package and finish are fixed, which is what keeps the price and the lead time predictable. Size, colour and interface language can be adapted without a new design cycle.

01 / Overview

The 3D map of the universe is a distribution map of celestial bodies in three-dimensional space drawn through various observation methods. This observable image of the universe depicts the actual positions and true colors of 200000 galaxies. We can not only see the position and relative distance of galaxies in three-dimensional space, but also the fibrotic structure of cosmic matter like "bubbles" and huge voids.

02 / How visitors use it

The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.

03 / The science behind it

The 3D map of the universe intuitively displays a slice of the universe (approximately 200000 galaxies) - each "point" on the map is a galaxy, and each galaxy contains billions of stars and planets. Among these 'points', the one located at the bottom of the map is our Milky Way galaxy. The expansion phenomenon of the universe makes this map more colorful. The farther away an object is, the redder its color appears. The top of the map displays the first light emitted 13.7 billion years ago, shortly after the Big Bang. Starting from this small point at the bottom, we can draw a galaxy map of the entire universe, which is the power of science.

04 / Built for a public floor

Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.

Attach a theme outline, a floor plan, or nothing at all — a photo of the space is enough to start. Quotations are issued against a real exhibit list, not per-square-metre guesses.
