A standard catalogue model: the dimensions, control package and finish are fixed, which is what keeps the price and the lead time predictable. Size, colour and interface language can be adapted without a new design cycle.

The Chandra X-ray Observatory model, which explores the mysteries of the universe, is suspended in the air. Since its launch in 1999, the Chandra X-ray Observatory has captured X-rays from high-energy celestial bodies such as black holes and neutron stars, revealing the mystery of the universe to us. Through augmented reality technology, you will gain an intuitive understanding of the working principle of astronomical telescopes and stimulate infinite curiosity about the vast expanse of the sky.
The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.
The scientific principle of the Chandra X-ray Observatory is to study the physical, chemical, and structural characteristics of celestial bodies by receiving X-ray radiation from them. X-rays are a type of high-energy electromagnetic radiation typically generated by high-energy electrons interacting with atomic nuclei in the inner shell of an atom. When X-ray radiation passes through celestial bodies, it is absorbed and scattered by celestial matter, and these absorption and scattering characteristics can provide information about celestial body composition, temperature, pressure, magnetic field, and other aspects. The Chandra X-ray Observatory collects and analyzes X-ray radiation by using highly sensitive detectors and precise pointing systems to obtain detailed information about celestial bodies.
Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.
Other models from the Aerospace & Astronomy line, all held to the same specification and the same control package.
