01 / Overview

The universe as we humans know it is the result of thousands of years of observation and accumulation by astronomers. Every astronomer and every astronomical wonder is a piece of puzzle, countless pieces of puzzle, combined to form the cosmic landscape from the Big Bang to today.

02 / How visitors use it

The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.

03 / The science behind it

The universe is a beautiful scenery, but humans did not have a complete view from the beginning. Instead, they went from naked eye observation to telescope observation, and then to probe into space to truly touch the universe. Since ancient times, humans have been curious about the universe and have been trying to unravel its mysterious veil. For thousands of years, humanity has been gazing up at the stars to explore the true face of the universe in pursuit of this goal. And this is another cognitive process from ambiguity to clarity, from ignorance to rationality.

04 / Built for a public floor

Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.
