01 / Overview

Do you know what the eight major planets smell like? The scent of the Earth mainly comes from the atmosphere, oceans, soil, and biological activities. It contains both sweet flavors (such as N ₂ O) and pungent odors (such as NO ₂, O3, H ₂ S). The atmosphere of Mars is mainly composed of carbon dioxide, containing trace amounts of hydrogen sulfide, and has a foul egg odor. Mercury is too small to capture its atmosphere and has not yet detected any odorous gases, so it may not have a "body fragrance". The atmosphere of Venus is mainly composed of carbon dioxide and nitrogen, as well as hydrogen sulfide. It has a foul egg odor, but not as strong as Mars. For humans on Earth, the moon is a lifeless place with no atmosphere, no life, and no sound. The entire planet is covered by a thick layer of lunar soil, which has a special pungent odor. Apollo 17 astronaut Eugene Cernan described it as the "smell of gunpowder after firecrackers have been set off". The main components of Jupiter's atmosphere.

02 / How visitors use it

The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.

03 / The science behind it

The fantasy of flying to planets embodies the romantic imagination and beautiful longing of people for the moon from ancient times to the present, reflecting our exploration spirit of the moon throughout history and laying the foundation for our modern lunar exploration missions and goals. one Primitive humans looked at the bright disk in the night sky, which periodically changed its shape, it was so magical. Since ancient times, the moon has been an important object of nature worship. two The "Encyclopedia" of the Western Han Dynasty in ancient China, Huainanzi, recorded the story of Chang'e flying to the moon. The goddess Chang'e took the elixir of immortality from the Queen Mother of the West, ascended to the moon, and finally settled in Guanghan Palace. three During the Ming Dynasty, thousands of households sat on chairs bound with ancient "rockets", hoping to soar into the sky. After the rocket ignited and exploded, Wanhu sacrificed his life, becoming the first person to sacrifice himself in human flight. four Many literary works abroad have shown great imagination about the road to the moon, such as the German fairy tale "The Adventures of the King Who Flirting".

04 / Built for a public floor

Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.
