01 / Overview

Rocket engines, known as the "heart" of rockets, are the key power source that propels rockets through space. It is a jet engine that comes with its own propellant, carrying both fuel and oxidizer. Whether it is fuel combustion or thrust generation, it does not rely on external air and can therefore operate outside of dense atmospheres. Energy is converted into kinetic energy inside the rocket engine, which is then expelled through the formation of high-speed jets to generate thrust. The YF-77 rocket engine is a high thrust hydrogen oxygen engine independently developed by China. It is the main power device of the first stage module of the Long March 5 carrier rocket core. In a gas generator, liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen are mixed and burned in a certain proportion to produce high-temperature and high-pressure gas. These gases drive the turbine to operate the liquid hydrogen pump and liquid oxygen pump, delivering the propellant to the thrust chamber. In the thrust chamber, liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen mix and burn to generate thrust.

02 / How visitors use it

The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.

03 / The science behind it

>Thrust and fuel technology: The fuels and propellants used in modern rocket engines have characteristics such as high energy density, high specific impulse, and high reliability. >High temperature and high pressure technology: Modern rocket engines are capable of operating in extreme environments using high-strength, high-temperature materials and advanced cooling techniques. >Control and navigation technology: using inertial navigation GPS、 Modern rocket engines can achieve high-precision control and navigation through technologies such as constellation navigation. >Reuse technology: Modern rocket engines can now be used multiple times, greatly reducing costs and environmental impact.

04 / Built for a public floor

Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.

Attach a theme outline, a floor plan, or nothing at all — a photo of the space is enough to start. Quotations are issued against a real exhibit list, not per-square-metre guesses.
