01 / Overview

This exhibit the principles of reflection and refraction to visitors through the abyss effect formed by the combination of lenses and fan screens. The exhibit features a unique world of light and shadow composed of cylindrical component devices. The light is reflected multiple times by a semi transparent and semi reflective mirror, forming an infinitely repeated image. The image extends layer by layer and gradually becomes distant, like an endless three-dimensional tunnel; At the same time, it is integrated with the image presented by the fan screen, ultimately forming an infinitely extended natural world, allowing visitors to intuitively experience the wonderful charm of light and shadow interweaving. one Entering the exhibit, you can directly observe the endless natural world scenery formed by the combination of the abyssal mirror and the fan screen. The principle of light and shadow fusion: The fan screen rotates at high speed and projects images to form a dynamic picture. The natural scene it presents is overlaid with the reflection tunnel formed by the semi transparent and semi reflective mirror surface. By utilizing the persistence effect of human visual perception, visitors perceives the integration effect of "infinite extension of the natural world", intuitively demonstrating the synergistic effect of reflection phenomenon and visual imaging.

02 / How visitors use it

The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.

03 / Built for a public floor

Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.
