01 / Overview

In the Lingnan region during the Yuan and Ming dynasties, farming families lived in walled houses with sturdy structures and family settlements, which enhanced their ability to resist external enemies. At this time, agricultural civilization reached a new height, using pulleys to irrigate farmland, reducing labor intensity, improving production efficiency, and promoting agricultural development. During this period, advanced agricultural tools were introduced to Lingnan with frequent exchanges between the Central Plains and Lingnan, greatly promoting the development of local agriculture. People are self-sufficient and live a prosperous life, which not only reflects the prosperity of agricultural civilization, but also marks significant progress in human production technology and living conditions.

02 / How visitors use it

The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.

03 / The science behind it

From tens of thousands of years ago when Homo sapiens established civilization, to today in the 21st century, humans have developed their living spaces from rudimentary caves to super homes with water, electricity, and WiFi. The standard of living has undergone earth shaking changes, and the way of home life has also undergone tremendous changes. Every era is engraved with its own era imprint.

04 / Built for a public floor

Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.

Attach a theme outline, a floor plan, or nothing at all — a photo of the space is enough to start. Quotations are issued against a real exhibit list, not per-square-metre guesses.
