01 / Overview

Unmanned delivery vehicle refers to a new type of transportation vehicle equipped with advanced sensors, controllers, actuators and other devices, and integrating modern communication and network technology, with functions such as complex environment perception, intelligent decision-making, collaborative control, etc. It can achieve automatic and safe operation without the need for human active operation, and carry out tasks such as supermarket delivery, takeaway delivery, express delivery, etc.

02 / How visitors use it

The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.

03 / The science behind it

Unmanned delivery vehicle refers to a new type of transportation vehicle equipped with advanced sensors, controllers, actuators and other devices, and integrating modern communication and network technology, with functions such as complex environment perception, intelligent decision-making, collaborative control, etc. It can achieve automatic and safe operation without the need for human active operation, and carry out tasks such as supermarket delivery, takeaway delivery, express delivery, etc. Unmanned delivery vehicles have functions such as intelligent perception and avoidance, intelligent route planning, intelligent delivery of goods, and real-time alarm. With the continuous advancement of technology and the gradual improvement of policies, unmanned delivery vehicles are expected to achieve larger scale applications in the future. From closed parks to open roads, from the "last mile" to the "last dozen kilometers", the application scenarios of unmanned delivery vehicles will continue to expand. Meanwhile, with the reduction of costs and improvement of efficiency, unmanned delivery vehicles will become an important supplementary force in the logistics and distribution industry, bringing more convenience to people's lives.

04 / Built for a public floor

Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.
