Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) is a storage robot capable of autonomous positioning and navigation. Unlike traditional Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), AMRs have the ability to understand the environment and move independently in their surrounding environment. AMR does not rely on fixed tracks or predefined routes, and typically does not require operator supervision.
The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.
AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robot) refers to a storage robot that can autonomously locate and navigate. Broadly speaking, it refers to mobile robots with strong autonomy. Autonomous mobile robot is a type of robot that has the ability to understand and move independently in its environment. AMR is different from its predecessor, Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), which rely on tracks or pre-defined routes and typically require operator supervision. two AMR uses a complex set of sensors, artificial intelligence, and machine learning techniques to calculate path planning, in order to understand the environment and navigate within it, without being limited by wired power sources. As AMRs are equipped with cameras and sensors, if they encounter unexpected obstacles while navigating in the environment, such as dropped boxes or crowds, they will use navigation technologies such as collision avoidance to slow down, stop, or re plan their route to bypass obstacles.
Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.
