01 / Overview

The exhibit consists of two projectors, two hanging statues, a sound system, and a main unit. visitors comes to the exhibit to watch the movie being played in a loop on the projector. Two projection surfaces respectively display films of Einstein and Bohr's exposition of their views on quantum mechanics, and the two scientists face the spirit of continuous exploration in physics from their respective perspectives.

02 / How visitors use it

The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.

03 / The science behind it

The establishment of quantum mechanics in the early 20th century sparked an exceptionally intense and prolonged debate in the physics community. The content of the debate involves fundamental issues such as the physical landscape, fundamental principles, completeness, and even philosophical foundations and worldviews of quantum mechanics. Einstein was always an important skeptic in the establishment of quantum theory. As the opponent of the Copenhagen faction in the quantum debate, Einstein did not deny the importance of quantum theory, but he also did not believe that quantum theory was complete. Therefore, he constantly raised questions and conjectures, mainly including the light box experiment and the EPR paradox. Light Box Experiment: In 1930, at the Sixth Solvay Conference, Einstein proposed the idea of a box filled with light that could emit photons from a small aperture controlled by a shutter. If you want to measure the mass of the emitted photons, you only need to measure the mass of the box before and after emission, and you can use the special relativity mass energy equation.

04 / Built for a public floor

Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.
