01 / Overview

The exhibits consist of a booth, Rutherford atomic model, Thomson atomic model, Dalton atomic model, Bohr atomic model, electron cloud model, cathode ray tube device, "start" button, "lift" button, handwheel, camera, and ground LED screen. When entering the exhibit experience area, visitors can first use the atomic model at the top to view the graphic and textual content on the wall, understand the atomic structure models of different periods, as well as their proposers and theoretical knowledge introductions. Before the cathode ray device is started, it is in a non powered state. When visitors comes to the cathode ray device, they press the "start" button to observe the particle rays generated in the cathode ray tube. They press the "lift" button to control the magnet to rise, and then turn the handwheel to observe the process of particle rays being deflected by the magnetic field of the magnet. Through experimental simulations, it was visually demonstrated to visitors that cathode rays are negatively charged particle flows and can be deflected by electric and magnetic fields, displaying the electrostatic field generated by potential difference.

02 / How visitors use it

The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.

03 / The science behind it

The atomic structure model is a vivid depiction of the atomic structure by scientists based on their own understanding A model represents a stage in human understanding of atomic structure It mainly includes five atomic models: Dalton atomic model: atoms are the basic particles that make up matter, and they are solid, indivisible solid spheres Thomson atomic model: An atom is a particle with an evenly distributed positive charge, embedded with many electrons that neutralize the positive charge, thus forming a neutral atom Rutherford atomic model: There is a positively charged nucleus at the center of an atom, whose mass is almost equal to the total mass of the atom. Electrons orbit around it in different orbits, just like planets orbiting the sun Bohr atomic model: Electrons orbit around the nucleus at a certain speed in a circular motion in outer space Electronic Cloud Model: Modern Theory of Material Structure.

04 / Built for a public floor

Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.

Attach a theme outline, a floor plan, or nothing at all — a photo of the space is enough to start. Quotations are issued against a real exhibit list, not per-square-metre guesses.
