01 / Overview

One of the most common hazards of mudslides is the rush into rural and urban areas, destroying houses, factories, enterprises, and other facilities, submerging people and livestock, damaging land, and even causing disasters such as village destruction and loss of life. By simulating interactive sandboxes, visitors can intuitively understand the state of mudslides and the damage they cause to people's lives and the natural environment. At the same time, deepen the correct escape direction and techniques in case of danger.

02 / How visitors use it

The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.

03 / The science behind it

Debris flow refers to a special flood flow with a large amount of sediment and stones caused by a mountain landslide due to rainstorm, snowstorm or other natural disasters in mountainous areas or other deep ravines and steep terrain areas. Mudflows have the characteristics of suddenness, fast flow velocity, large flow rate, large material capacity, and strong destructive power.

04 / Built for a public floor

Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.
