01 / Overview

Engineer thinking is a systematic problem-solving approach that emphasizes starting from first principles and creatively applying scientific principles to solve problems, and automobiles are the product of engineer thinking! Here, you can learn about the basic concepts and principles of automotive design, experience the entire process from component selection to vehicle assembly, and even prepare for PK car competitions. are you ready? Let's build your own car!

02 / How visitors use it

The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.

03 / The science behind it

Engineer thinking is a systematic problem-solving approach that emphasizes starting from first principles and creatively applying scientific principles to solve problems. This way of thinking not only focuses on the essence of the problem, but also emphasizes practicality and feasibility, and is a closed-loop process from thinking to action. During the process of assembling cars, engineers employed various scientific thinking methods such as systems thinking, logical thinking, innovative thinking, critical thinking, parallel thinking (six thinking hats), and fishbone diagram analysis. The application of these thinking methods can help improve the quality and safety of automobiles, and promote the sustainable development of the automotive manufacturing industry.

04 / Built for a public floor

Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.
