01 / Overview

This exhibit allows participants to contemplate and explore the connotations and phenomena of chaos theory through interactive experiences. The exhibits are mainly composed of styling display racks, handwheel devices, protective panels, swinging devices, etc., forming a complex motion system. The core interactive logic is that when visitors rotates the main pendulum, the three auxiliary pendulums will swing accordingly and influence each other, presenting an irregular and unpredictable motion state; The laser pens on the three secondary arrangements will leave complex and unpredictable trajectories on the photosensitive material. This motion state is in sharp contrast to the regular motion of a pendulum - the trajectory of a pendulum is usually easier to predict, but the motion of a chaotic pendulum becomes complex and disordered due to the mutual influence between its various swings. one Before arriving at the exhibit, locate the handwheel device and pay attention to the protective panel of the exhibit to ensure safe operation Turn the handwheel device to activate the main pendulum, observe the swinging state of the three auxiliary pendulums, and pay attention to the mutual influence between the auxiliary pendulums observe.

02 / How visitors use it

The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.

03 / Built for a public floor

Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.
