01 / Overview

This exhibit project uses fun interactive games to allow participants to understand the discovery process of artemisinin, reproduce the experimental process of Tu Youyou extracting artemisinin and testing drugs, and experience the joy of scientific discovery and the importance of scientific exploration. The exhibit consists of a design booth, touch screen frame, raster image transformation, card recognition device, 27 inch touch screen, etc. The core includes three interactive contents: firstly, a standby video introduction, detailing the background of Tu Youyou's discovery of artemisinin, the arduous research process, and its significance to the world; The second is the artemisinin extraction puzzle game, where viewers can follow the touch screen prompts in the card recognition area to complete the core steps of drying, crushing, soaking, extraction, roughening, and refining in the ether extraction method. For each accurately identified step, the large screen will play an animated explanation of the corresponding experimental steps; The third is the artemisinin efficacy experiment. visitors can click the five disease buttons on the touch screen, such as malaria and diabetes, to watch the animation of artemisinin treatment for different diseases. one Click.

02 / How visitors use it

The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.

03 / Built for a public floor

Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.
