The Ji Li Gu Che is an ancient Chinese carriage used to record the distance traveled by vehicles, invented around the Wei and Jin dynasties. There are two wooden figures on the Jili drum cart, named after the device that allows them to hit the drum once while traveling one mile. It can automatically report mileage, similar to a modern vehicle counter. The drum car is equipped with a three-stage gear reduction mechanism inside, which transmits the rotation of the wheels to the wooden figures on the body through the meshing of gears, thus achieving one drum per mile and one bracelet per ten miles. Rotate the wheels and observe the operation of the three-stage gear reduction mechanism to understand the working principle of the drum car.
The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.
Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.
Other models from the City & Society line, all held to the same specification and the same control package.

Blade pitch adjusted by hand with thrust read on a live gauge.

Time four signals so a bus crosses the city without stopping.

Load a hull until it floats and then until it does not.

Road-side sensing, lane markings and vehicle communication in one model.
Attach a theme outline, a floor plan, or nothing at all — a photo of the space is enough to start. Quotations are issued against a real exhibit list, not per-square-metre guesses.
