The Songyue Temple Pagoda is the earliest surviving brick pagoda with dense eaves in China, the only ancient pagoda with a twelve sided plan, and one of the four famous pagodas in China. Founded in the second year of Yongping reign of Emperor Xuanwu of Northern Wei (509 AD), the brick tower consists of a base, a tower body, dense eaves, and a tower brake. The entire structure is made of blue bricks, coated with yellow mud, and jointed with clay. It has a total height of 39.8 meters and 15 floors. In 2010, it was included in the The World Heritage List by UNESCO. The Songyue Temple Pagoda can be regarded as the world's earliest cylindrical structure building. This structure did not appear in the field of Western modern architecture until the 19th century and is still one of the preferred structural methods for high-rise buildings today. The design inspiration for the landmark "Big Corn" in Zhengdong New District comes from the Songyue Temple Pagoda, and the curves of the two main buildings perfectly match.
The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.
Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.
