01 / Overview

Bullet time effect is a photography technique used in movies, TV commercials, or computer games to simulate variable speed effects. It allows videos to achieve slow motion freeze frames like those in science fiction movies, presenting viewers with high degree of freedom in video playback and bringing ultimate visual effects. With its ultra fast transmission speed and ultra-low latency, the application scenarios of 5G technology are becoming increasingly widespread. In live broadcasts of sports events, the use of 5G technology for real-time splicing, slicing, and rendering of collected multi-channel ultra clear videos can provide viewers with close-up shots of athletes' "bullet time" from different perspectives during their competitive state.

02 / How visitors use it

The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.

03 / The science behind it

Compared to 4G, 5G has a transmission speed more than 10 times faster and a latency of only 1 millisecond. This ultra fast transmission speed and ultra-low latency make it possible to process and transmit large amounts of data. In terms of high-speed transmission, the high-speed transmission provided by 5G technology provides stable data transmission guarantee for ultra high definition live streaming, ensuring that videos do not lag or buffer during the live streaming process. In terms of high-capacity connectivity, 5G networks have the characteristic of super connectivity, which can connect more devices and achieve large-scale live streaming transmission, which is very advantageous for live streaming of large-scale events or competitions. With the support of 5G technology, the practical application scenarios of "bullet time" are also constantly expanding. After the application of 5G technology, the backend processing and transmission time will be significantly reduced. The technology of "bullet time"+5G has been used in some sports event live broadcasts, such as basketball, badminton, and Winter Olympics skiing.

04 / Built for a public floor

Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.
