In 1906, Santiago Ram ó n Cajal and Camillo Gorky shared the Nobel Prize, but argued endlessly about the structure of the nervous system. Gorky insisted that the nervous system is a huge network structure, where neurons fuse with each other; Kahal believed that neurons are independent units that are connected to other neurons through special structures (later named "synapses"). Watch the video to learn about the story of the debate between neuronal theory and reticular formation.
The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.
In the 19th century, there were two completely different opinions in the academic community regarding whether nerve cells were independent or fused with each other: the first believed that nerve cells were independent of each other; The second theory suggests that nerve cells are fused with each other. The second viewpoint was the mainstream at that time and was accepted by most people. These people believe that nerve cells are fused with each other, and the entire nervous system is a huge network. The neural cell body is only responsible for providing support and nutrition, while the brain functions as a whole. The invention of the electron microscope in the 1950s revealed the intricate structure of synapses, ultimately proving the correctness of the neuron theory and making it a fundamental principle of modern nervous system structure and function. At this point, the dispute between these two neuroscience giants has finally settled.
Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.
