01 / Overview

Big data refers to a massive collection of data that cannot be perceived, acquired, managed, processed, and serviced using traditional information technology and software and hardware tools within a tolerable time frame. It has many characteristics such as large data scale, rich sources, complex types, and rapid changes. The application scenarios of big data are very extensive, from healthcare to financial risk control, from smart cities to intelligent manufacturing, and many other fields, all of which demonstrate the enormous value of big data in collection, analysis, and utilization.

02 / How visitors use it

The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.

03 / The science behind it

Big data refers to the vast amount of data involved that cannot be captured, managed, processed, and organized into information that can help businesses make more proactive business decisions within a reasonable time frame using mainstream software tools. Big data includes structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data, with unstructured data becoming an increasingly important part of data. Data acquisition and processing is one of the key technologies of big data. It preprocesses a large number of noisy data obtained from the Internet, sensors, information systems and other sources, including data cleaning, filling and standardization processes, to make the disordered data more orderly and easy to process, so as to achieve the purpose of rapid analysis and processing. The value of big data is reflected in the following aspects: (1) Enterprises that provide products or services to a large number of consumers can use big data for precision marketing; (2) Small and medium-sized enterprises that adopt a small yet beautiful model can utilize big data for service transformation; (3) Faced with Internet pressure.

04 / Built for a public floor

Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.

Attach a theme outline, a floor plan, or nothing at all — a photo of the space is enough to start. Quotations are issued against a real exhibit list, not per-square-metre guesses.
